Entertainment

The festival is divided across two days with an eclectic but brilliant collection of musicians taking you through Friday into a truly mixed and vibrant festival Saturday. Friday night we are delighted to have music ranging from ambient to a fully-loaded jumpin' rhythm and boogie revue but all with a similar theme of incredibly talented musicians/ singer songwriters sharing their significant talents with our festival crowd.

Saturday’s afternoon session will be largely family focused, with great music from a variety of local sources - Youth bands, and great local indie, rock and ska, songs of love, heartbreak and musical superhero badgers will keep the crowd on their feet. To check out the band line up click here

Rugfest is a festival that keeps the whole family entertained, from bouncy castles to slush puppies and everything in between. During Saturday afternoon we will be entertaining both young and old with drumming circle and circus skills , Fir Tree school will give us songs from Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat, and we will be having a local dance team  jiving with a demonstration and workshops for all to practice. There will be Punch & Judy shows as well as magic shows throughout the day and even the magical water walkers. Don’t miss the rodeo ride as we are sure it will make you laugh. This year we have an art and crafts tent which will be offering a selection of activities with painting , drawing , making bracelets, face painting and hair braiding to name a few. The children will no doubt enjoy the eponymous Jan and her fantastic blackboard van where they can paint to their hearts content for hours Jan also offers games and dancing including the always popular jelly fish costumes. To round off the fun the kids have their own disco the Fizzical disco team create fun with games and dancing..

Saturday evening’s music session is something very special indeed with highly renowned local and international artists keeping the main stage bouncing right through to our midnight curfew.
